Before meeting
- Choose a busy, public, well-lit place.
- Tell someone you trust where you are going and when.
- Arrange your own travel and a simple way to leave.
- Keep your home address, workplace, and financial details private.
- Do not send money or accept pressure to change the plan.
During the meetup
- Stay in the agreed public location.
- Keep your phone charged and personal belongings with you.
- Respect boundaries; consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- Leave immediately if something feels wrong.
Reporting and blocking
Use Report or block in Journey for harassment, misleading identity, unsafe conduct, or a no-show. Blocking prevents future discovery between the two profiles. Reports are private from the reported person.
Immediate danger
SoundGum is not an emergency service. Move to a safe public place and contact the appropriate local emergency service if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
Our limits
SoundGum provides coordination and safety controls, but does not currently conduct identity or criminal-record checks. A profile, message, or accepted request is not a guarantee that someone is trustworthy.
